Position Summary:
The Project Manager of System Implementation (PMSI) oversees and actively manages all new information system implementations for Mastery Charter Schools. The PMSI will play a key role as Mastery Charter Schools embarks on a 5 year plan to comprehensively evaluate and refresh our suite of Talent Management systems (among other systems). Reporting to the Director of Information Systems (DIS), the PMSI will we responsible for successful vendor selection, requirements definition, project planning, and execution of all new system implementations.

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Project management including scope definition, risk management, project scheduling, resource management, project documentation, and status reporting
- Collaborate with business-side project manager to provide leadership to cross functional project implementation team
- Frequent communication of project status, timelines, risks, and mitigation plans to all stakeholders and project sponsors
- Oversee RFP process, coordinate vendor demos, and manage vendor selection
- Participate in documentation of business requirements
- Translate business requirements into detailed system requirements and system processes
- Manage decision-making process to adjudicate any timeline and process changes
Qualifications:
- Very strong communication skills – both written and verbal – in formal and in-formal settings
- Able to manage multiple concurrent projects at many physical locations
- Comfortable working with all levels of the organization, including making presentations to C-level
- Advanced knowledge of project management and project management tools
- Strong attention to detail and organization skills
- Results driven and able to multi-task in fast paced environment
- Fluent with Microsoft Office applications and project management software
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree required with 7+ years of work experience, advanced degree a plus
- 5+ years of experience managing multiple concurrent software implementation projects
- Experience with organization-wide communications and coordinating resources at multiple locations
- Project management certification a plus
- Experience working in K-12 education a plus
Physical Requirements:
Ability to physically perform the duties and to work in the environmental conditions required such as traveling to NST office and maneuvering in office space-reaching file cabinets, filing, faxing, coping, typing, mailing, and making phone calls; Must be able to sit for up to two (2) hours looking at a computer monitor, using a keyboard and mouse and typing.
Other Requirements:
Valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle for travel in Philadelphia metro area when necessary. |
